Bring a notebook and a reusable water bottle.

SETUP
Paste the content above into Writer. Apply Title to the first line and Heading 1 to Session plan. Save as workshop-source.odt.
Create two exports from the same source with identical settings except Hybrid PDF (embed ODF file): workshop-plain.pdf OFF; workshop-hybrid.pdf ON.
Open both in a PDF viewer. Then explicitly open workshop-hybrid.pdf from LibreOffice File > Open.
Change Break to Coffee break and add an extra paragraph. Save a new editable ODT and export a new PDF. Do not assume editing the source updates any earlier PDF.
Record software version, which module opens each file, visible layout, editability and file sizes. Do not assume a fixed size difference.
